Weber 4521001 Spirit E-310 Natural Gas Grill, Black Review

Weber 4521001 Spirit E-310 Natural Gas Grill, Black
Average Reviews:

This grill, while pricey, is very likely the best free-standing 3-burner grill I've ever used (for its size). I chose the natural gas version because I have a stub-out in my back patio that allows me to grill without the inconvenience of picking up and refilling propane tanks. I've actually used quite a few natural gas grills and this is the only one that's actually managed to heat rapidly and hold a temperature with any real success. The first time I used this grill, it achieved 550 degrees (f) in just under 10 minutes with all 3 burners on high. For those who know, temperatures north of 500 degrees (f) are REQUIRED for searing steaks properly. I also appreciate the side-mounted controls as they help keep the grill's depth to a minimum (a MUST in my small back patio). I also REALLY like the new stainless steel design for 2009. I was never a fan of the plastic/poly construction of previous years. In conclusion, I highly recommend this grill to anyone who's looking for a quality piece of grilling hardware that will stand the test of time. Also, be sure to pick up Weber's custom grill cover to protect your investment if you're not storing the grill in a shed or covered area. Zojirushi EB-CC15 Indoor Electric Grill Review

Zojirushi EB-CC15 Indoor Electric Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Pros:
- non-stick surface makes it extremely easy to clean. Charred food debris just slides off the surface.
- base of the unit is made of plastic and acts as an insulator so there is no need to put anything under it to protect your tabletop.
- safety mechanism built in so that grill cannot be operated without drip pan.
- takes only 10 minutes to heat up fully.
- grill is a heavy cast iron so holds heat well. I have seen other similar grills by companies like Sanyo and only Zojurushi uses a heavy cast iron grill.
- heats very well. Grills meat very fast.
- no smoke generated- not sure why, but there just isn't any.
Cons:
- none so far.
Notes:
- if you want to grill vegetables, I'd recommend coating them with some oil before putting them on the grill, otherwise the veges tend to get dry.
- power cable is short, so make sure you have an extension cable handy.

Weber 6631001 Genesis E-330 Natural Gas Grill, Black Review

Weber 6631001 Genesis E-330 Natural Gas Grill, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Through a confluence of circumstance I was in a hurry to get this grill in and installed right when this new model came out. Other than the pain suffered through paying full retail (ouch), it has been a great experience.
Assembly:
Everything fit together as it should. Get an 11mm socket on a real wrench though - the 'tool' that comes with the set is great for adjusting the doors, but don't count on using it for primary assembly unless you have a few days to spare. Hint: Use the 3 silver headed screws for the drip tray - the black headed screws are for the side burner.
NG vs Propane:
If you're going to grill year around in a climate that can get cold and can get the hook up done - go NG. Seriously. I'm loving it.
Pre-heat:
40* ambient to 600* in 9 minutes (NG version). I took it up to 650* (13 min) just to clear any remaining mfg oils on it. This is WAY hotter than any reasonable use would entail. All 4 burners running full out.
Cooking:
Food has come off the grill outstanding. Set the three main knobs to the same position and the entire grill cooks at the same rate. I have not found any cold or hot spots - food has cooked evenly anywhere I put it on the grill. It has all come off with great flavor. Frankly, after cooking on several other grills over the years, this one makes it too easy.
Searing:
The addition of the 4th burner creates a large HOT zone on the left side of the grill. It's kind of this grills hidden weapon. You can grill 'normal' on the entire surface. Then, if you want, you can crank up the left burner, sear burner and center burner and turn the left half of the grill into a searing wonder. When you're done, turn off the 4th (sear) burner and you're back to 'normal' pretty quick.
Side burner:
Pretty straight forward turn the knob, push the igniter, put stuff on to heat it up. Works just like it should.
Burners run NS instead of EW:
Pre 2011 Genesis models had EW burners. The 2011 model has NS burners. So far, from what I can tell, the difference is moot. I have not done rotisserie on it yet though, and apparently that is where the EW burners shine. I don't think it will be an issue though. This grill cooks so evenly that I don't think it's going to matter a bit.
Community Support:
Check out the forums at:
www (dot) bbqsource-forums (dot) com
They have a great bunch of people in the Weber forums there, and I put up a pile of pictures of this grill right after I assembled it.
Amazon's Service:
Ordered it with Prime shipping and it arrived 7 days later in a REAL big 200lb box. The delivery guy put it in my garage without any fuss.
Amazon's Photos Error:
At the time of this writing 12/2/2010 the pictures that Amazon has of this grill are not accurate. It looks like they are using stock photos of a 2011 Weber Genesis EP-330 instead of a 2011 Weber Genesis E-330. The difference? The pictures show a stainless grill rack and stainless flavorizers. The E-330 has cast iron cook grates. If you enjoy great grill marks, cast iron grates is a GOOD thing. Amazon's description is correct - but the photos need fixed.
Drawback:
This grill makes great results too easy. It really feels like less work than it should be to get such great results.

Mr. Bar-B-Q Platinum Prestige Large Grill Cover Review

Mr. Bar-B-Q Platinum Prestige Large Grill Cover
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My husband and I bought a big stainless steel grill (the kind with the side shelf and side burner, about 65" total I think). We looked at covers for it around town, and found the cheapest to be about $25-$30. This price pretty much got you a flimsy tarp cut in the shape of a grill. Not to say that these covers aren't effective, but we live in the south where rain, wind, and sometimes snow are a factor. For anything heavy duty, we found that covers were costing around $60 and up. I came on Amazon and found this cover for under $30 and gave it a shot.
This cover is made of heavy material and feels like it will hold up over time. I don't see it ripping from any normal use. It fits our grill perfectly, covering the whole thing. I like that I can put this on while the grill is still hot, because I am not one to remember to go back outside later to slap a cover on.
Overall I would highly recommend this cover. And you definitely can't beat this price for this good quality.

Charcoal Companion Platinum Chili Pepper Roasting Rack with Corer Review

Charcoal Companion Platinum Chili Pepper Roasting Rack with Corer
Average Reviews:

The corer is a life saver on your hands, and it works great! I only tore 1 pepper while seeding it. The rack holes are too small to hold larger peppers (the best kind for stuffing), however. We could only fit fit about 1/2 of the amount of peppers on the rack and it was still hard to get them to stand up. I will be looking for additional racks with biggers holes. The pepper design is adorable.

BroilKing PR-D1 Professional Double Burner Range Review

BroilKing PR-D1 Professional Double Burner Range
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I can't say I've literally tried or tested every counter-top buffet range there is, but this one's construction is clearly superior to all competitor's products. I hesitated - Broil King? Who are they? - sounds like some cheap, discount store brand, but I bought due to the all-steel construction because all the others, made largely out of plastic, seemed seriously cheesy to me. This unit is genuinely solidly built out of all metal, nicely chrome plated with nice quality controls. It works well to boot - like a good quality stove-top. You really get a full range heat control. I use mine at holiday time when my gas range is suffering from no vacancy. This will gently warm things without burning when set at low - a true test of the quality of the unit. Cheaper units "look" like they have full range controls but in fact, you get off and screech. Thanksgiving can be ruined if your mashed potatoes "warming" on your extra burner burst into flames because the "low" setting was mostly wishful thinking on the manufacturer's part. An excellent unit - a bit of an investment, but definitely worthwhile. I only use it twice a year, but will never regret it.

Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler Stainless-Steel 4-in-1 Grill/Griddle and Panini Press Review

Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler Stainless-Steel 4-in-1 Grill/Griddle and Panini Press
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have tried the Villaware Uni panini grill, the Delonghi open countertop grill and another panini type grill (approx $90), and returned them all (ouch, those return shipping charges hurt). I never considered the Geroge Foreman grills because they always felt cheaply made to me, not to mention many unfavorable reviews).
None of the grills/panini presses that I tried got hot enough to work well for me. They just did not grill as much as steam, bake cook the food, and they all took a longer time to do so than I was willing to wait.
I never was bothered by cleanup, though. I always just wipe the hot plates with wet paper towel, let it then cool a bit, and wash with wet sponge. Works on them all.
So I just gave up and bought some stovetop grill pans and have used them for the past year or so. They do get as hot as you want but you do have to turn the food to cook both sides.
Being a kitchen appliance junkie, I decided to try the Cuisinart Griddler this year.
I love the size (great for just 2 people, though) as I do not anticipate using it in the full open position. And it is handsome as handsome can be to me. Very commercial looking on a very small scale. (I was chef/owner of a restaurant for 13 years.)
And cleanup is easy. Although I still use the wet paper towel and sponge for immediate cleanup, the removable plates (very easy to take off and put back on) make washing in sink or dishwasher other options, Although the plates are nonstick, it is best to use vegetable spray or oil on the food (I prefer this rather than spraying the whole plate.)
There are 3 controls--griddle temperature selector, on/off to select either griddle or panini/grill, and panini/grill temperature selector. There is no timer so there is a small learning curve to learn when your food is cooked. Expect to overcook many things at first as the griddler really cooks quickly.
There's a short electrical cord, about 34" usable length. Solid construction. Hinged top does settle squarely on the food. Because there the griddler is flat with no slope like the Foreman and other grills, vegetables will not roll off or toward the front.
It takes about 5 minutes to preheat and then, wow, it really grills. Salmon took just 3 minutes. I overcooked my halved zuchinni in just a few minutes.
You can hear the instant sizzle sound but don't go to far away as it cooks more quikly than you might be used to.
We don't eat fatty meats (like burgers) so I cannot comment on the grease/drip factor but with fish, seafood, chicken and vegetables, there is absolutely no splatter.
It can cool down quickly if left open, a disadvantage while cooking but an advantage for cleaning.
Again, the most important factor for me was how hot the grill got (and quickly as well) This, of course, leads to perfect grilling on both sides.
I just love my griddler.
Shelly

My grill dog is junk!
This is my second time using it, and it stopped turning. Looking at it further, it seems that the poorly meshing gears on the side jammed, and spun the un-welded square end off the drive shaft.
From the moment I took it out of the box, the gears never mesh well, and the mechanism would stick and jam. Nice idea, really bad workmanship.

Weber 4421001 Spirit E-310 LP Gas Grill, Black Review

Weber 4421001 Spirit E-310 LP Gas Grill, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Got tired of buying inexpensive grills that only lasted a few years. My wife had owned a Weber grill years ago and she thought that they were the "best". She could give a lecture on the pluses that they have.
Since there are only two of us, I found that this was the Weber for us. Not too expensive and small enough to be able to move around.
Amazon shipped it thru CEVA, and they called and delivered it on the time agreed upon. Very professional service.
OK-now for the review of the grill.
Was impressed by the way it was packed. Lots of reinforced cardboard, all the parts were tightly wrapped, and great care was apparent in the effort to prevent scratching or rubbing of parts.
HOWEVER, putting it together was a real pain. It took me about two hours, (by myself). But what I really didn't like was the assembly instructions. THERE WERE NO WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. The entire assembly instruction sheet was a series of photos. Found it very tiring. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I like the "put section A together with 1 inch bolts etc). I was beginning to wonder if Weber made these instructions for people that can't read.
I was impressed with the way the parts fit together. Nothing sloppy and all of the holes lined up. Everything seemed to be of exceptional quality. Heavy lid and box.
Fired it up after assembly and it hit 600 degrees in about 5 minutes. Perfect blue flame in all burners, and although the top got extremely hot, the side trays remained cool. Nice and even heat all throughout the box, with sensitive flame adjustment throughout the entire range of the individual knobs.
I liked the idea of being able to buy various parts for replacement. The warranty is a generous one, and seems to be an indication of the quality of their product. Although this grill is a little pricey, it should last years with proper cleaning and maint. Did I mention what a great price it was?
Good buy.

Even more, it provides a 112-square-inch warming rack (for a total cooking area of 536 square inches) that comes in handy for heating up buns or keeping already cooked food warm. The grill electronically ignites at the push of a button for easy, reliable lighting, and its porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars eliminate grease-fueled flare-ups that can occur with other grills. Other highlights include porcelain-enameled cooking grates that create perfect sear marks, an enclosed cart with painted steel doors to hide the LP tank (not included), a 10-foot flexible hose, a porcelain-enameled shroud with a center-mounted thermometer, a stainless-steel work surface, and six tool hooks to keep spatulas, basting brushes, and more easily accessible. Maxi-Matic EDB-302F Elite Cuisine Dual Temperature Double Burner 1500-Watt Hot Plate, White Review

Maxi-Matic EDB-302F Elite Cuisine Dual Temperature Double Burner 1500-Watt Hot Plate, White
Average Reviews:

The day before Christmas the broiler in my stove turned on by itself and would not turn off until the stove 's electricity was turned off and disconnected. Due to the special design of my kitchen, I had to special order a replacement slide-in stove with a 3-4 week lead time. Quickly discovering that I was unable to microwave dinners for 6 every night, I ordered this double burner as well as a single burner to get me through the month wait. I was exceptionally pleased with the way this burner performed. The sealed elements made it easy to clean and maintain. The cook heat came up to temperature faster than the deceased stove's had and in no time I was able to boil large pots of water for pasta, fry eggs, cook in my wok and make all the dishes I was used to cooking on my stove top. It was more than worth the price I paid for the convenience of being able to make complete home cooked meals every night. My sister will be borrowing both burners this summer when she has her kitchen remodeled because I raved about how great they have been. I heartily recommend the Maxi-Matic EDB-302F Elite Cuisine Dual Temperature Double Burner 1500-Watt Hot Plate.

Cuisinart GR-3 Griddler Jr 3-in-1 Nonstick Countertop Grill Review

Cuisinart GR-3 Griddler Jr 3-in-1 Nonstick Countertop Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'd been looking at panini grills for years, but had never found the perfect model. Many of the grills I looked at in stores seemed very cheap and poorly built. One clear exception was the Cuisinart grill, which was very well constructed, but it was very expensive and also very large. When I saw this new Cuisinart Junior, I decided to take the plunge. It has become the hit of our kitchen. Making fancy grilled sandwiches has become a highlight of our weekends. My teenage kids love the sandwiches off the grill, and they don't seem to notice that they're eating healthier than before. The quality of panini sandwiches off this little grill is far superior to the paninis we get at our local restaurants.
Here are the features that make this grill a winner for me:
- The grill plates really are nonstick. I've never had to do more than wipe them clean, even when drippings seem to have burned on. The plates remove super easily, and also snap back in very easily.
- The grill pre-heats very quickly. I turn it on before I start making the sandwich, and it's always hot enough by the time the sandwich is assembled.
- The grill always creates the perfectly grilled panini. When I used to make grilled sandwiches in a frying pan, getting them perfectly grilled without burning was hit or miss. With this grill, I just set the dial a bit shy of medium and every sandwich comes out perfectly grilled.
- The hinged lid let's us make fairly huge sandwiches (a few inches thick). This might not sound like a big deal, but it's key to having fun with the grill, since it let's you make creative sandwiches that you could never cook all the way through or flip in a frying pan.
- The small size is perfect. It cooks one very large or two smaller panini, and it doesn't take up a ton of counter space. It's small enough that I can leave it out all the time, which makes it a lot more convenient to use.
One thing to be careful of: The lid does get hot. Make sure you only use the handle for opening and closing. I wouldn't let younger kids work the grill by themselves.
I have not tried cooking meat with the grill. We use it strictly as a panini grill.
I don't generally get excited about kitchen appliances, but this little grill is downright fun. Any gadget that can get my teenagers psyched about going to the grocery store to find wacky things they can turn into grilled sandwiches is a hit in my book. (BTW, our favorite sandwiches so far are: tomato and fresh mozzarela with basil pesto; chicken, apple, and raspberry with provolone; and pear with brie. My apologies if I'm not spelling some of these foods right.)
Great purchase. Getting used more heavily than our stove. I'm hooked.

Enjoy the taste of deliciously grilled food from the convenience of the kitchen all year long with this easy-to-use countertop appliance. The multi-function unit offers exceptional versatility with three different ways to create a wide range of menu items. Use it as an open grill to cook fish fillets and asparagus or one or two juicy steaks at a time. Turn it into a contact grill by simply closing the lid--great for cooking hot dogs or veggie burgers to perfection, both sides simultaneously. As a third option, the grill functions as a panini press, making it effortless to create cafe-style grilled sandwiches, loaded with melted cheese, thick slices of ripe tomato, fresh summer basil, and other favorites. The unit's hinged, floating lid automatically adjusts to the thickness of food, while its user-friendly temperature-control dial allows adjusting the heat as needed. Other highlights include a red and green indicator lights, a generous cool-touch handle for safely raising and lowering the lid, brushed stainless-steel housing, a drip cup and cleaning tool, and removable nonstick grill plates for effortless food release and quick cleanup. Whether open grill, contact grill, or panini press, the compact three-in-one appliance takes up minimal space on the countertop, measuring approximately 14-2/5 by 12-1/5 by 6-1/2 inches, and carries a three-year limited warranty.

Char-Broil 08401504 Grill2Go ICE Portable Gas Grill Review

Char-Broil 08401504 Grill2Go ICE Portable Gas Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I live in a condo and only have a 1-car garage so, while I wanted to have a grill, there isn't much room in the garage (with my car in there) to have a big grill. The Grill2Go is nice because it is much slimmer (in depth from front to back) than pretty much any full-size grill I've ever seen. Sizewise, one of the downsides is that the 2 side trays do not fold down so, if you want to store it with the side trays, it is going to take up additional space width-wise beyond the size of the actual grill assembly. It wasn't a big deal to me, though I WAS used to having fold-down side trays in all my previous grills.
Before writing this review, I used the grill to cook a variety of foods because I wanted to be able to report on how the grill performed in various circumstances. The foods I grilled on 4 separate occasions were: smallish New York strip steaks, thick-cut pork chops, chicken breast chunks with veggies on skewers (aka shishkebob), hamburgers and hot dogs.
What I have learned about using this grill during this time is:
1. It is VERY important to give the grill adequate warm-up time. The instructions say to turn the grill on high and leave it to heat up for 15 minutes. In my experience, I would say that 20 or 25 minutes may be better, especially if, like me, you prefer a nice sear and grill marks on your food.
2. The instructions say to leave the grill on high for 15 minutes after you're done cooking to let the grease and such burn off. The books says that all the gunk is supposed to turn to ash. This was NOT my experience.
3. Each 1-pound propane container is adequate for a 15-20 minute warm-up, approximately a 20-30 minute grill time and a 15-20 minute "burn off" but not much more than that; i.e., don't expect to get multiple grill sessions out of each canister. And it is recommended to remove the canister when you put the grill away (i.e., don't store the grill with the canister attached). NOTE: The grill does NOT come with propane. I was able to find the 1-pound canisters at my local Lowe's.
4. The instructions say that if you're going to be grilling something fatty (i.e., steaks or burgers), you should leave the grill lid UP during grilling to lessen the chances of flare-ups. I did this on my first use (grilling 2 NY strip steaks) and ended up with steaks that were perfectly cooked on the inside and delectably tasty, but gray and bland on the outside--i.e., almost no searing or grill marks. Since then, I have left the lid closed almost 100% while grilling and have found that I had no flare-ups and had much better searing and grill marks.
5. While there is no question that the grill gets hot, I am used to cooking on a charcoal grill and I just don't seem to be getting the sear on this grill that I am used to. Perhaps that is just the nature of gas grills. I haven't owned a gas grill before, but I've eaten food cooked on them at other peoples' houses and never noticed the food looking gray like those steaks did.
6. Today was the first time I tried to warm up food in a pan on the grill. I was trying to heat up a pan of baked beans to go with the hot dogs I was grilling today but, after quite a long while on the grill, the beans were barely even warm, so I had to take them in and put them on the stove. Luckily, I was home and could do that. Perhaps if I had waited until the grill was fully heated first, I may have had a different experience.
7. While the concept of a portable grill that has built-in coolers is FANTASTIC for tailgaters and those who picnic at the beach or park, I found the reality less alluring. The grill is HEAVY, even with the coolers EMPTY! There's no way that I could get the grill into a vehicle by myself. Also, the handle which lifts up (like on a rolling suitcase) to move the grill does not lock into place, so it makes moving the grill really awkward--especially if you are a small person as I am and especially if the grill is HOT and you can't put your hands on it to steady it!
The accompanying video will give you a look at the grill in action.
I give CharBroil an A for effort as I think it is just an awesome concept. But, while I have really enjoyed having a grill again and love its small profile in my garage, the reality is that I would not be able to use it for its intended purpose without at least one other person (if not two), hence I could not give it 5 stars. Further, even moving the grill from the garage to the driveway to grill can be awkward because the handle doesn't lock in place. All in all, 3 stars.
Note: The grill comes partially assembled but still requires a good bit of assembly. Due to the weight of the grill components, my neighbor, who is a retired engineer, put it together for me. He said it took him about an hour. Given the number of pieces and screws, I'd estimate that it would have taken me about twice that time IF I'd have been able to hold up the grill assembly and use the screwdriver at the same time, which I didn't think I'd be able to do.

Designed with on-the-go grillers in mind, this portable gas grill works as well on the back deck or patio as it does at the beach, a campsite, or tailgating parties. The collapsible unit features two durable wheels and a lift-and-lock mechanism--similar to rolling luggage--for smooth transport from one place to the next. When ready to grill, just lower the handle, extend the grill to its full height, slide on the handy side shelves, and connect the regulator and fuel tank. The grill requires a 1-pound LP cylinder for operation (sold separately), and it features Char-Broil's patented infrared cooking system, which reduces overall cooking time, uses 1/3 less gas, and creates no exposed flames, so there are less flare-ups to worry about. The grill may cook faster and more efficiently, but it doesn't sacrifice seared-in flavor or mouthwatering results.
Best of all, the unit provides a generous 290 square inches of grilling space for anything from hot dogs and hamburgers to salmon fillets, veggie shish-kabobs, thick slices of fresh pineapple, and other favorites. To add smoky flavor to meat and vegetables, simply drop wood chips through the grates and lower the lid using the stay- cool handle; choose from a variety of wood-smoking chips, including mesquite, hickory, alder, oak, or cherry (not included). For added convenience, the grill comes equipped with two removable coolers that sit side by side on the bottom shelf (a protective shield on the bottom of the grill keeps them safe from the heat). Each 30-quart cooler offers two easy-grip loop handles, a wrap-around zipper, and ample space for filling with ice, food, drinks, and other items that need to be kept cold. The portable gas grill measures approximately 29 by 44-1/2 by 37-1/2 inches and carries a 90-day limited warranty.

Works well, yet a little hard to maintain propert temperature. The roller had a slight electrical failure after the 3rd use. It was easy to get it repaired by the manufacturer and has worked well since then.

ARY Hot Glove With Red Silicone Grip Review

ARY Hot Glove With Red Silicone Grip

This glove does the job. I can take hot pans straight out of the oven, with no problems. Unlike an oven mitt, the fingers are separate, so you have more control. I like the little red grippy things on the glove as well.
You obviously can't hold a hot pan for too long, but it provides enough insulation to get pans out of the oven and onto the rack.
Do note that you will receive ONE glove, not a pair.

George Foreman 360 Electric Nonstick Grill with 5 Interchangeable Grill Plates Review

George Foreman 360 Electric Nonstick Grill with 5 Interchangeable Grill Plates
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had 3 Foreman grills over the years, first I got the Champ for college, then I moved up to the Next Grilleration, and now its on to the 360. The 360 has really stepped it up a notch. The multiple removable plates make this grill the one to have I think. I have made a massive omelet and it turned out perfect. I made quesadillas and they turned out perfect. I made chicken and once again came out perfect and had the classic good amount of drippings. Every plate worked like a charm and cleanup was so much easier. than the previous models i think. I look forward to using this grill for years to come!
Update:
Okay run into my first issue and its a BIG one. For some reason the area made to hold the plates on have gotten warped or bent after their first use (assume it was after I had set it to its highest and had cooked some chicken). I'm not sure if its from the heat or what but the top plate will no longer stay in place!!! I locked the plate in place to cook some chicken, lifted it up 2-3 times and it was fine, but I opened it up once and the plate popped off and ended up falling to the floor as I wasn't about to catch the thing. The plastic handle shattered and now any plate I try in the top does not seem to sit right and pops off after use :( I'm not sure what to think at this point, I was really impressed at first but after this debacle I'm not sure what to do with the thing as its now junk if I can't put any top plate on without it falling off.

Equipped with 106 square inches of cooking surface, this round-shaped electric grill features five removable cooking plates for exceptional versatility. The countertop appliance can function as a deep-dish pizza oven, a six-pocket quesadilla press, an omelet maker, or a pancake griddle--simply switch out the plates. Five come included: two ribbed grill plates, two quesadilla plates, and a 1-inch deep-dish plate for pizzas, griddling, baking, and more. The appliance's appeal lies not only in its simplicity and countertop convenience, but also in its fat-fighting ability. The cooking surface can be adjusted from flat to angled in order to help channel fat away from food and into the built-in drip tray. Even more, its triple nonstick coating allows for low-fat cooking while ensuring effortless food release. The unit also provides adjustable temperature control, a "ready" indicator light, and a 1-1/2-inch floating hinge to accommodate thicker sandwiches or steaks. Other highlights include embedded heating elements for consistent heat and rapid recovery time, an extended metal loop handle for raising and lowering the lid, cool-touch side handles, and a spatula for transferring food from the grill to a plate. To clean, simply wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and put the removable plates in the dishwasher. The 1500-watt grill measures 17-1/2 by 15 by 5-7/8 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
