It's spacious enough for 6 sausage links (the big ones you get at Whole Foods, not those little breakfast ones) and 6 eggs, or you get can 4 good-sized pancakes on it. We like this griddle so much that when my daughter moved into her own apartment, we bought one for her too.
I don't cook big meats on it. No steaks, or fish. We grill those. But almost all our breakfasts are cooked on it.
Only one minor little gotcha--the silver handles aren't as stable as I'd like. They're attached by very small screws, one screw per side. Depending on how much you use it, you may have to tighten them every month or so. Make sure you have a very small flat-head screwdriver handy.
Even with this minor inconvenience this is a great griddle. We really give it a workout.
